The 2018 BAPO annual conference saw Peacocks have an increasing involvement

This year, Peacocks staff presented 3 different talks, won 2 awards and had a busy few days on stand talking to industry professionals, students and clinicians about what we do.

On Friday, Gary Bainbridge presented at the Technician's seminar about shoe construction, whilst Jari Pallari (now presented simultaneously about the advancement of 3D printing technologies for the Orthotics industry.

Friday also saw Peacocks Technician Karen Slater be recognised for her work in plastics, receiving 3rd place in the Algeos Technician of the Year competition. Karen was nominated by one of our orthotists for always going above and beyond the call of duty. This was followed by hospitality on the Peacocks stand which allowed for plenty of conversations with students, suppliers, colleagues and other industry professionals.

Following a day of conference for our Orthotists and on-stand activity the evening gala saw Peacocks recently retired Clinical Director Duncan Ferguson received a lifetime achievement award in recognition of his long-standing service to Orthotics. Peacocks are very proud of Duncan and join BAPO in congratulating him on his success.
