Peacocks statement on Coronavirus (COVID-19)

The UK government has announced a number of measures to help tackle the COVID-19 pandemic. In this unprecedented time, we are closely monitoring the constantly changing advice from the UK government, the NHS and our company advisors and have put plans in place to ensure continuity of care, while protecting the health of our staff and patients, and maintaining our capacity to deliver to our customers.

We are currently focussing on:
The health, safety and wellbeing of our staff and patients
Working with individual NHS Trusts to provide appropriate service levels
Continuing to supply our goods in a timely manner
Some clinics are going ahead for those patients who have an urgent clinical need if required by the individual Hospital Trusts we work with, and within Government guidelines. We have placed extra safety measures in place – our clinicians have increased hygiene procedures and the frequency of hand washing to those currently recommended during the outbreak and will use personal protective equipment where appropriate. All routine appointments that are appropriate to be carried out over the telephone are being carried out in this way.

Before attending for your booking, please read the following questions. If your response to any of these is an honest yes, or if you are in any doubt please call the NHS helpline on 111, do not attend for your appointment, and call the appliance office to cancel your appointment.

Have been in close contact with anyone who has returned to the UK in the past 14 days?
Have you not been out of the UK but have been in close contact with anyone that has suspected or has been diagnosed with COVID-19?

Do you have any of  the following symptoms:
A new continuous cough
Fever
Shortness of breath

As above if the answer is yes to any of these questions, please do not attend for your appointment.
Further guidance can be obtained at https://www.gov.uk/coronavirus

Our teams are working from home where appropriate and we are strictly abiding by the social distancing rules in our factory and office where this is not possible.

This statement will be reviewed regularly and updates posted when appropriate.
